Lake Weir Campus Food Pantry
Hope Lutheran Church operates a food pantry at Hope Lake Weir Campus every Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The Food Pantry serves Individuals and families in need providing them with shelf-stable food, meat, bread, toiletries and pet food.
The Pantry has been in operation for 4 years and has over 400 registered families. With the generosity of Hope members and the community, we are able to serve 125 to 190 families weekly, giving out over 250 bags of food. In 2022, the Pantry served 6,436 families, which includes over 22,000 individuals. The food pantry is staffed by Debbie Schuettler, Operations Manager, and dedicated volunteers.
Donations
Donations are accepted at all three Hope campuses.
Hope Central Campus: Bins outside Fellowship Hall.
Hope Lake Weir Campus: Bin by front door.
Hope at Everglades Rec. Center (during service only): Bin by ballroom door.
Items Distributed Weekly:
- Cereal
- pasta (1 lb)
- pasta sauce
- instant potatoes, pork N beans, canned beans
- rice (1 lb)
- canned tuna or chicken; chili; spaghetti O's; ravioli; vegetables; fruit; soup
- crackers
- mac n cheese
Items Distributed Monthly:
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Bar soap
- Dish soap
- Laundry detergent
- Toothpaste and tooth brushes
- Deodorant
We Also Provide:
- Adult diapers
- Feminine products
- Wipes
- Band-aids
- Pet food
Cash donations are also accepted.
Checks can be made out to Hope Lutheran Church with Food Pantry noted in the memo line.

We also partner with Thrivent. Please contact your representative for how to lead a Thrivent Action Team project to benefit Hope’s Food Pantry.
